DESCRIPTION:
Here's a Gustavsson semi-hollow Fullerblaster with a flamed maple droptop and a P90 in the neck position.

Johan loves the simplicity of the original Teles, yet he had no interest in simply branding an "also ran" model with the JG logo. For the Fullerblaster he has kept the familiar Bluesmaster silhouette, while incorporating the 6 in line headstock and bolt-on one piece maple neck found in the original design. The JG Fullerblaster is available with both the traditional slab and custom contoured body options. Johan offers this model with a distressed finish, which gives the instrument a warm and broken in feel. Body material options include mahogany, ash and alder. Fingerboard options include slab rosewood and maple.

SPECS:
- Body: alder
- Top: flamed maple droptop
- Neck: maple
- Fretboard: maple

- Pickups: Wolfetone rod mag P90 & Tele
- Tuners: Kluson Deluxe
- Bridge: Callaham
- Finish: vintage blonde nitro

Meh. For 6K I could buy all of the various guitars that is inspired by. I'm sure it is a nice guitar, but the pasting together design elements from a tele, and LP junior, and (perhaps) a 335 just doesn't work for me.

I like everything but the flamed top. The alder or if it had an ash body with a butterscotch tint would be preferable. Oh, and that price can suck a bag of dicks.

Looking at it again, it reminds me of the Samick Royale, making its price even more offensive. The more I look the less I like. I prefer the Huber amalgams. Like so:

Also overpriced from my perspective, but much nicer. That said, I've played neither and the Gus might kill the Hub in playability and tone.

The first one I hated... particularly for 6K.... the Huber... I loooooove.

Make it a plain top at $600
and I'm all over it like Peeker on a, well... anything!

Yeah, the Huber is a thing of beauty, like the gorgeous love child of a Tele and a PRS. There's one of this very model with a satin finish at a store in Houston: http://www.infinityguitars.com/nik_huber.html

Unfortunately, the while the price is significantly less than the Gus, it's still well beyond what I would pay for a guitar at this point.

i don't dig that particular guitar. i wouldn't mind trying out another of Gustavsson's guitar models though. if it was awesome to play, then i'd buy it.
