"if the price is right" ..... I wonder how much that thing would actually sell for. I dont really dig electric 12 strings but I do like steinbergers. Why, I dont know, but I like them. I'll give this one a thumbs sideways.
 
I'm not really into Steinbergers, but this one might be useful in the studio....and a small piece of history.
 
I liked the larger body Steinbergers better. I know a lot of good players in the 80s were rushing out and buying Steinbergers, but they all ended up going back to their old guitar after a time. I have never played one, but they seem to get a very distinct tone on a lot of the recordings I heard with them. That small body has never appealed to me though..
 
I agree with Chihili's "thumbs sideways" but for a different reason. The thought of an electric 12 is intriguing to me as I dig bands like The Byrds and CCR. But, it WOULD NOT be a Steinberger. Rickenbacker all the way.
