Description: In 1999 Washburn's master craftsmen set out to design a modern classic for the new Millennium and the Idol was born. After countless awards and accolades, Washburn has a very versatile instrument in the Idol. This custom shop Idol boasts some top-end features like a bound flamed maple top on a mahogany body, mahogany neck with bound rosewood fretboard with triangle inlays, the Buzz Feiten Tuning System™, 18:1 Grover tuners, and Seymour Duncan Custom Custom and '59 pickups each with coil tapping via the push-pull tone knobs. A 3-way toggle pickup selector, chrome hardware, two volume and 2 tone controls and a Tune-o-matic bridge with stop tailpiece make this truly a striking and deluxe guitar. Flame Tobacco Sunburst finish. Hardshell case included.
 
Pretty dang nice looking - except for that triangle inlay. That is utter fail....

Is this a US made Washburn? I have heard some really nice things about their domestic guitars, but I have never seen one in a store yet to try out...
 
It has lots of nice features but I have a hard time considering a Washburn for myself after selling them for a couple of years....
