Description: Really sharp, used vintage 60s Vox Mark VI Brian Jones model. This is in Excellent condition and comes with the original hard case. This is Italian made and is loaded with three single coil pickups. The nut has been replaced, but other than that, it's an all original, one-owner guitar and has been well cared for. This is a spectacular guitar with a killer sound. Serial# 279858

$3250

And, notice how the controls are nicely out of the way so as to not be hit while strumming wildly... +1

Like Mark, I'd prefer the 12-string version. And actually, I'd prefer the 5-sided Phantom to this one. But, still, this is a pretty decent guitar.

Not for that kind of money. Plus the necks on those vintage Voxes can require some adjustment. I've played some that, playability-wise, were pretty ungood.

Phantomguitarworks stuff is pretty damn good, and the playability is more akin to modern expectations.

My teardrop twelve is really comfortable and fun to play.

I love the look of those classic Vox guitars, although for playablity sake I'd be just as happy with a knockoff. Most of the Eko-built Voxes I've played have had unpleasantly chunky necks.

I jammed with a guy who had one of them...not a bad player, but the pickups were so low output that he was overwhelmed volume-wise by everybody else...until we plugged him into an "evil" twin...great tones, shitty output, looks like a toilet seat...

...I'll pass, thank you...

and on the 8th Day, Mike Matthews created the LPB-1.
