Gretsch ID help

Moorfog

Multimeh
Got offered this just recently in a trade.

It looks newish, seemingly well made, it does look like an actual ebony fretboard, the zero nut is an interesting touch, on a basic search I don't see much that's the same. Most concerning is the lack of serial number on the headstock.

Thoughts welcome!

I'm no help with IDing it, but it looks like a fine guitar! How does it sound?

If you get no joy IDing it here, I bet someone over at gretschpages.com or gretsch-talk.com would know what's what.

I'm definitely no expert, but I'm guessing since the serial number isn't on the headstock then it must be on a label in the f-hole. Ask for a photo of that. If it's not there, then .

Thank you for the responses, led me on the right path. It's a 02' 12 string country gent prototype essentially. Pretty cool, might go for it as it's probably more easily sellable or trade worthy than what I'm trading.

On further research looks a little too iffy when it comes to it's background. Probably best to pass on it, apparently it's been posted on and off in the area for years with no takers.

How much?

He wants to trade for my custom shop G&l bass, which I don't touch really, bought it to flip for a bit of cash but g&l resale is not what I thought it was unfortunately. That said, I really don't have any interest in 12 strings, and I don't think with it's rarity it's going to bring any more than I'd take on the g&l, so not worth the gamble.
