2006 Custom Shop Flying V

Near mint shape. Mahogany body and neck with a killer maple top. All original with case candy except for tuner change from Klusons to Grovers. Nice weight. Plays and sounds killer.

List is $5,407.
Music Zoo has a Cherry one for $3,849.
Yours for $2,000

Not a fan in general of flamey or quilty Vs...solid colors or simple natural wood grain.

I never liked V guitars to begin with, and that is shape that looks worse as you add bling. Black, white, wine red, or natural korina look OK on the V, everything else sucks.

$2k isn't bad considering.

he probably got rid of the Klusons when the nut was binding and blamed it on the tuners. personally, i prefer the feel of Grovers, but whatever. it's most likely the nut.

IMO, this is one of those Rick Neilsen guitars. everybody else looks like an idiot playing it.

IMO, this is one of those Rick Neilsen guitars. everybody else looks like an idiot playing it.

I just hate when someone buys a Gibson and immediately replaces the Klusons "because they won't keep the guitar in tune". They work just fine. I also feel that they allow the headstock to resonate a little more since they are lower mass....a small amount, but when I changed the tuners over on my '79 The Pual it was noticeable.

I like Vs, but I don't like that one. Vs should not be flamed cherry sunburst.

For a Custom Shop Gibby that's a steal. You can't even get a Les Paul Standard for that these days.

Probably. But then, the only custom shoop Gibby I ever owned (a Gibson Q4000 back in the late 80s), I never would have bought, if the shop hadn't been selling it at a blow-out price. I'm not much of a custom shop guitar girl.
