Wohoo! My daughter made her middle school soccer team as a 6th grader and scored her second goal today. She almost had another but the keeper made a nice play. Unfortunately, they tied 1-1.

Around here, it isnt typical that 6th grade kids make the soccer team much less get a lot of playing time so we are just as proud as we can be of her. She decided months ago that making this team was what she wanted and worked her butt off. Daddy is proud. biggrin

I dont know. I'm a baseball guy. The soccer police guy from one of the teams she played on said goalies play hockey and goal keepers play soccer. idn_smilie

Honesly, I cant believe I even used the word. I typically use goalie specifically to piss that guy off.
 
Awesome man!

All three of my daughters play, and when they score the occasional goal it is so exciting!

And as the one half of one half of one half of a percent of Americans who really dig soccer, the term is keeper.

I am trying but when I was growing up down here, I dont think I even knew anyone who played soccer. I have learned a lot since she started playing. For instance, I learned that I hate soccer parents. cop0
