Gibson 1st price wave

Yup. I bought one 2 months ago at that price when they were offering 24 months free financing. This has been happening for a while. Nice guitar. I have a yellow one.
 
I didn't replace them. Not yet anyway. The robo tuners are a nice luxury when they work. The system leaves much to be desired in terms of performance. It is accurate, but can take a bit of time to get in tune.

I'm lazy, so being able to push a button and go from standard to half a step down or open E is nifty.
 
I bought the tobacco sunburst Les Paul Junior a couple of months ago from Sam Ash. The finish is nitro. It's on the back burner at the present time for use, due to the fact that it needs a re-fret (I have nickel allergies, and virtually all guitars come stock with nickel alloy frets, so I need to have them replaced with Jescar Gold hypoallergenic frets), and some other guitars of mine were higher up the list priority wise for a re-fret (my 2002 Gibson ES-135, and my 1994 MIM Fender Squier Series Telecaster). The robo-tuners are going bye-bye.
 
do these have the really wide nut width? i tried one of the les pauls in the store and it felt more like a classical guitar up near the nut. seems like a good deal though for a USA made guitar w/ case.

EDIT: yes it does, just checked specs: 1.795"

Not sure about the paint.
I did replace the tuners. I got a set of locking Grover tuners for $62...sold my G-Force on Reverb for $80. For the money it’s a great guitar. My only complaint if I had to, I feel that bridge pickup could be warmer. Still it’s pretty good
The neck pickup is outstanding.

Yes, as you already saw it does have a wider fingerboard. But it is far from uncomfortable.

The ones on reverb are MORE expensive!
 
It still isn't as bad as the George Harrison Rosewood Tele's on that site.
These guy's are looking for $1.5k to $2.k for one.
Fuck them in their meathead faces.

Small secret... A lot of the '50s and '60s finishes were acrylic. People rave about nitro. Because of the nitro craze DuPont actually had to reformulate a lot of Lucite (acrylic lacquer) colors into Duco (nitrocellulose lacquer). For instance, the original Lake Placid Blue is actually acrylic lacquer.

In other words... Kinda doesn't matter.

yeah, the nut is very wide, could easily get a super wide string spread if you could find a tailpiece that had bigger than stock spacing.
