Cool in a 1988 Dweezil Zappa kind of way. I'd probably build an equivalent Warmoth and pocket a grand instead but that's just me.

Why skimp on that last fret marker dot? Cost-cutting on a $2175 guitar?

I know there's no money above the fifth fret, but there's really no money in playing the wrong note above the 17th fret.

Not bad for what it is and for those that want a "real" Charvel/Jackson and not the name brand owned by Fender, this is a valid way to go (the other being RockStar Guitars). The price isn't outrageous when you consider what other small builders are charging for their wares. A Suhr wouldn't be any less for a comparable guitar. Jackson is a known commodity and should get for his product whatever the market will pay.

That said, not for me. I quit Floyd's ages ago and I'm going to keep it that way. What's more I doubt I'd ever pay more that $1,250.00 (most I've ever paid) for a guitar ever again. The costs of high end U.S. guitars reached the point of diminishing returns for me at least a decade ago. I can get the sounds I like, want, "need" (I don't gig or really even jam anymore).

Awesome awesome awesome.

It's expensive.

But then again, it's Grover Jackson. So...I myself like to harp on simple guitars with crazy prices. This is a simple guitar built by Grover Jackson. It's worth it to me.
