The Chameleon stuff is excellent bang-for-the-bucks!

As is the Millennia. Those are some of the most transparent mic preamps out there for not even $500/channel!

I'll admit to it... I'm a total Mojave whore. The MA-300 is on my serious GAS list when I can justify owning one.

I assumed it was basically the same principal as the SubKick. I actually built one using a drum shell, an old 6" woofer from a shelf stereo system, and a couple of resistors. It worked surprisingly well.
