I'm putting this up for anyone in the lower 48/APO/FPO. I wanted to do a local sale, but apparently the Baltimore-Washington area is too rural to get a perspective buyer. :annoyed:

Anyway it's the combo and has been modified with an upgraded output transformer (Weber WSE15....about 3X bigger than the stock one) and the Bitmo Triple Bypass kit. Also has a new set of tubes in there, a Jans Phillips 5751 and I believe a JJ in the power section. I know that everyone says that their stuff sounds great, but honestly these little upgrades went a long way to improving the sound of an already good sounding amp.

There are no tears in the tolex, no marks, dings or anything. It's never been outside of the house except for on it's way in the mail to my house. It does have a few very thin scratches on the front panel that are probably from dusting it or something. Perhaps from cables sitting up there, I don't know.

Here's a link to the sound of the Bitmo mod and tubes. I haven't recorded it since the new output transformer. It's an old crappy mic direct into the PC and the amp was going into a crappy attenutator as well. You can atleast tell the differences between the three voicings.

If we are going to do shipping than I would suggest UPS for the lower 48. I checked prices with some zip codes around the country and it gets ridiculous really fast via USPS.

The amp is an exact 40lbs and the box is going to be around 20x20x13 give or take.

If shipping gets too insane we can talk about it. Can't promise anything, but I am not looking to get top dollar, just need a certain amount of cash to make it worth selling.

Oh man. I didn't know they made a combo version. Let me think about it. I'd really like it but I just bought the head and cab version last week and a laptop yesterday. This is really too good a deal to pass up, though.
 
No huge rush or anything Mark. I've got a few nibbles, but nothing serious and I'm not dying to sell it, just want the feeling of a commitment at some point if you know what I mean. Knowing that it's sold is just as good as having the money in hand right now.

But if the tele in the other thread doesn't sell than there really is no point because I won't order the Axe-FX prior. Until that goes I've got all the time in the world....yeah me. :rolleyes:

I am not the most discipline person in the world, but I am surprisingly staunch when it comes to moving gear in and out for some reason. It's probably a good and mature thing to do, but it sucks when I really want something. :lol:

This is really hard. I really want it but I'm watching my summer business turn to shit before my eyes this week. Let me think it over tonight. If I decide to sell our Peavey Penta (who needs 140 watts anyway? :embarrassed: :facepalm:) I'll definitely do it...
 
If I didn't already have a BH LG mini stack, I'd be interested. It's a great clean to slightly dirty amp and takes pedals well. I'm sure yours sounds that much better with the part upgrades. :thu:

Sleep on it and let me know. I'll hold onto it for you until funds clear up if you really want it. If you pass that's cool too, don't feel compelled because my 12 kids haven't eaten in a week due to their lousy father buying guitars and amps and stuff all day. :lol:

I mean I'm just going to buy more gear with the money anyway. :thu:

And no, my one kid (his nickname is the Highlander....there can be only one) isn't starving. He didn't eat all of his fish tonight because he's a knucklehead, not because he didn't have enough on his plate.

I got it! been shooting it out against my stock one for a bit today...much more articulate but not as much clean headroom....I might try swapping a few preamp tubes and seeing if that changes things....beautiful condition and awesome packing job, too

To be honest, as much as I like to think that I'm a good guitarist the thing that actually gets me paying work is that I can sing and play.
