What's Reverend do that is similar to what I am considering? I think you and I talked and there was some guitar they do that is close. I would want a humbucker, a p90 or jazzmaster type pickup, and a trem. I prefer more contoured, offsetty styling.

Oh yeah, that was it. Looks pretty nice overall, and I am sure it is of good quality, but wish the controls were further back out of the way, and not so tele-ish, and that the PG was not so teleish too. How does that bass contour work? I wonder if it could be changed into some sort of blend pot between the two pickups.

No, no, no. The bass contour is Reverend's best feature. It gives you way more versatility and more sound options than a blend knob could. It work the opposite of a tone control. Instead of rolling of treble, it rolls of bass. The controls aren't in the way, trust me.

Huh, those look much cooler than the ones that popped up on the Reverand site (see here: http://www.reverendguitars.com/reverend/guitars/bolt_on_series/double_agent_II.html ) when I googled double agent II. the ones I saw had tele style PGs and controls. I like these ones lots better. But that is more money than I plan on spending right now. Might be better to save up for a while. @Reverend1, what do you know about the possibility of a control that blends the relative volumes of the pickups? I get that one doesn't want to lose the bass contour, but I do like to play with combining the bridge and neck on a two pickup guitar. That is what is so cool about the Gibson style controls on that tele.
EDIT: Oh, the above are double agent IIIs! Not IIs!

Hm. I'd have to try them out to see if they really floated my boat. Lately I've seen guitars in pictures that haven't been great in stores but sometimes if you go to a store and you expect one thing you get another. That being said, #2 could be interesting.
