Still need to go!!!BUMPing for @Modern Saint .... I'll also dig up some of my Sweetwater photos and post them here.
Chicago Music Exchange is special.... they have brands in there I've never seen in another music store. Both are unique in different ways... Sweetwater is Disneyland. CME is that singular out-of-the-way destination that needs to be on everyone's short list.Umm... okay. Whatever. I sell stuff to CME all the time. I was there twice over the last 3 days. It's another large music store. Yawn.

I was in Chicago by accident on Monday (late plane from St Louis to ORD and I missed the connection so ended up with a day to kill before the next one) and to my disappointment, CME is closed on Mondays. I went to the Art Institute instead.Chicago Music Exchange is special.... they have brands in there I've never seen in another music store. Both are unique in different ways... Honestly... I know this will sound like blasphemy... but I enjoyed it better than many of the Nashville stores.
At least at CME when I picked up a guitar and liked the way it played, and turned the ticket around, I didn't feel like I stumbled into a museum of priceless artifacts and accidentally picked up something worth my house that the guard just hadn't tackled me yet.![]()

HNPDGot a call from my Sweetwater rep this week. Kind of disappointing in the sense that I felt we didn’t really have a meaningful conversation but that might be because my item was only $35.
I think I might try a different approach next time and instead of talking about gear I bought and asking my rep what his musical activities are these days. Many people like to talk about themselves.
When my gear came I was excited to try the vanilla Tootsie Roll but it was a letdown too.
The Behringer Ultra Vibrato I bought was worth it though. Fun little device.
Thanks. It’s swirly but probably not as swirly as the Leslie you are wrenching on.HNPD
Bit-o-honey is classic, but I prefer Atomic Fireballs.I wish I ordered often enough to request only bit-o-honeys. I love them but don't see them often.
