I love it, but like other people said, I could build this for 500 dollars out of Mighty Mite parts. In fact I have one I just bought for $100.

I have a friend who would love it. He's got an SSS Strat, but plays 100% of the time on the bridge pickup. Me? I like variety.

I like the early San Dimas Charvel aesthetic of yours compared to Fender reclaiming it and putting it on a blonde strat...but I'd still prefer maple on yours too.
