I have a certain fondness for Fender short-scales, having a 1960 Musicmaster (22.5" scale) and a 2017 Duo Sonic (24" scale), so this is of interest. FYI - the one they have at SW is 7.1 pounds, which is a welcome change from the other Fenders that for the non-roasted-pine models are pushing or over eight pounds...

A solid yes from me. I like the guitar and definitely like Ben Gibbard. His voice is dreamy.

Opposite for me. No strong feeling on the artist, but the guitar appeals to me.

My feeling on that color combo, comes from playing a 70's Mustang in that same scheme. It was a horrible guitar that weighed more than a Les Paul.

I like the looks. No idea if I would like the scale, neck radius, etc.

And it looks like they forgot to put pickups on that one.

I would love to play one. I want to say hot - but I have never played a Mustang so that would have to happen first. I like the looks and the simplicity. The lack of a tone control might be problematic though.

9.5”... :howie:

They must have edited the webpage. I went back like 5 times to make sure it said 5" before I posted because 5 would be insane.

edit: Looks like I still had the page open from earlier.

The owner of my local shop still has his original '66 Mustang he bought as a teenager. Its a really cool looking guitar, but it is not a good guitar by any means. I couldn't pay $1,100 for an original one much less a new one.
