I just saw an olive green Tele on Anderton's that has given me the worst GAS I've had in years. Thankfully, I'm too cheap to spend over $2,000 on a guitar anyway, so I don't really have to take any moral stances here.
I hope Yamaha, who have actually always made their Pacifica line a bit smaller and more edgy in order to not stomp on Fender wins this case and then makes a "1:1 body copy of a strat" Pacifica 303. Keep the neck Design though, because they ace that part.
Between PRS, who went through this with Gibson already and know how to fight this battle, and Yamaha who is a massive company with their own team of international lawyers, I think Fender may have bitten off more than they can chew.
