February Songwriting

Let’s Get Obtuse!
Mid-month reminder. Get to work.

I’ve got two—I needed to round out the track list for the record, so I buy my nose to the grindstone last weekend.

I should be able to make time to get decent quickie demos now that all the prep work and scratch tracks are done for the next big studio opus and the ball is in the drummer’s court for a while.

Well, I just finished recording a song that came to me in my sleep and I sent it to Sonik and hope to have a Sonik mix in time; otherwise I will send a rough mix I did.

Given the difficulties of this month, I doubt I’m going to have anything ready...having trouble getting creative

Between jobs, take 1 hour a day to noodle. Record and label (use your phone) anything that sounds even remotely like the building blocks of a song. You’ll have an enormous pile of raw material after even a few weeks.

Don’t try to write anything fully. Just embrace the gift of time to doodle. Come back to it later.

I actually did sit down Sunday and start working some ideas together...prob won’t have a fully realized song, but I may put up what I have and then try and finish for next month....thanks for the support folks!
