If you want classic, Lollars are great. Honestly though, from dirt cheap to booteek, I've never met a P-90 I didn't like.

I am having Bryan Gunsher, BG Pups, wind one for the neck of my telecaster. I will let you know, but they are supposed to be good.

If you want classic then buy a set of 50s Gibson P90s, although a new set can be shaped and tamed quite nicely with a small NeoDym magnet, but yes, I don't think I've yet heard a bad'un, and a certain Mr Brian Mason used to prefer his Epi soapbars to Gibsons

Bryan sent me a set of his soapbars when he was starting out, so I stuck them in my Edwards which came with Seymour Duncans as stock, the SDs got flipped pretty darn quick, you will be a very happy man with a BG P90 too.

I've got a set of Rio Grandes in my Guild that sound killer. And Reverend's stock P90s sound terrific if you can find a set.

I don't think you can go wrong with any of the brands mentioned in this thread. Even Seymour Duncan. :embarrassed:

P90s are the most egalitarian of all pickups. Even Epiphone makes a good sounding P90. Just decide if you want low output or overwound and you should be good to go.

Original Gibsons from the 50's. :embarrassed:

They're the only gibson soapbars I've ever liked. Accessible to mere mortals, though, they all sound pretty awesome. A good P90 is my favorite pickup, no question.

Never really compared them. A Jaguar I played this past summer sounded great along with Mark's Paul that houses BG's.

I have a set of Rose P90s and a set of Sin P90s that I can sell you. PM me if you are interested.

Well TBH I love the stock Samsung P90s in my Peerless Casino... Better than the Gibson P90s in my Elitist Casino honestly. They just have a bit more bite, more mid-rangey, the gibbons are more mellow and a bit dark comparably. Also I love the stock reverend P90s in my Jetstream 390. Fantastic. I know that doesn't help much but you asked my opinion lol!
