Expressions that should no longer be used

moving forward (like you could actually move backward in time)
there's a whole host of corp/office speak crap i'm sick and tired of.

"Old guy yells at clouds"

I'm talking to you, HIAR.

'Boutique'. Just say 'optimistically priced'.

Right sizing. It's a layoff.

TS. All should be TRS.

All old memes like that should be retired. It gives people too much excuse to not only use canned jokes but even use them over and over.

In fact, by the time a meme starts getting all of that jpeg compression from being passed around on facebook it should be retired forever.

I feel this also (but more strongly) about puns. People make a pun and then behave as though they belong at the fucking Algonquin Round Table.

Let’s table this particular concern for now. Instead, let us return to raving about consultant speak and terms that “the kids” have long since abandoned.

"Niggardly"
(Not actually a racial slur, but it suuuuure sounds like one.)
i'm not sure i've ever heard someone actually use that word in a conversation.
i've heard people discuss the meaning of it, but that's about it.
just sayin'

Misuse of the word "war".

i.e. War on Drugs, War on cancer.

War is about killing people and breaking things to take another nations resources.
That's one of them things the eggheads up in the ivory tower call a metaphor. Hate those things myself.

Never used 'em never will!

I even hate the word cancer. Cancer means crab, not a constellation or a tumor. If you ever sawed one of them things you'd know it weren't the same at all.
