I wish I had, I was really jealous when my sister and her friend saw them in ‘82 w/ The Clash when we lived in NY (I was 14). One of the first bands I was really into, I had most of their albums by the time I was 12. Tommy, Who’s Next and Quadrophenia are all massive achievements. Live At Leeds is one of the best live albums ever. I’ve seen so many shows throughout the years, but they’re just one of those for me where the timing was never quite right.

That woulda been one hell of a show. I woulda loved to see the Clash.

Can you imagine seeing Train in Vain followed by Baba O'riely...Have you heard that song machinegunner?

Never saw the Who or, anyone else. Didn't live close to a major city. But, you mentioned Quadrophenia. Anyone that says they don't like the Who should be strapped down and be forced to listen to Quadrophenia.

We had tix, but then Cincinnati happened, and the show we had the tix for got cancelled.

My ex-brother-in-law was at the disastrous Cincinnati show. He said his feet didn't touch the ground fr 45 minutes in the crowd pushing to get in, the pressure of the people carried him along, helpless.

I had always wanted to see them, until I read Pete's autobiography. They returned to Cincinnati last year on my birthday, but my opinion of Pete is now so low that I had no desire.

Yes! Twice and I'm not even a fan. Once was a regular concert, the other one was them doing Quadrophenia and both were excellent.

For anyone saying they don't like them for whatever reason.....thats crap, The Who rock!

Saying that though, Ive never liked anything The Rolling Stones have done :bigg:

Of course, big Clash fan for nearly as long. My sister and her friend told me they were going to sneak me along too (they hitchhiked, but ditched me!) :( Poor 14 year old me was devastated

I just watched a YouTube reactor (yeah, most of the reactors are lame, but I’m a patron to one of them…cool guy) listen to the whole album for the first time recently. As soon as it hits YouTube I’ll shoot it your way if you like, kind of like hearing it vicariously for the first time through someone else’s ears. The movie was great too, I haven’t watched it in years.

Yes please.

Anybody... doesn't like the Stones... strapped down... Sticky Fingers

If that doesn't do it for you, try Let It Bleed. At the very least, when Love In Vain comes on, nobody can resist singing along, practicing their Elmer Fudd impersonation.

Theres one or two songs I don't mind but none have me humming them all day

Saw the big reunion tour of 89 at Giants stadium...don't remember which date.

While it was actually pretty awesome, I'd've rather seen one of the later tours where it was just Roger, John, Pete, a drummer, and maybe a keyboard player.

I don’t think the Coast Coliseum has ever been as packed as it was that night.

'80/Cotton Bowl/Dallas

I also saw them in Houston at a place then called The Summit in 74 or 75 (can't remember) w/ ZZ Top opening.

Edit: Found this,

"Mighty mod-rockers The Who did Houston the honor of throwing the first rock concert in the arena on Nov. 20, 1975. It’s known to Who fans as a document of one of the band’s headiest eras. Clips can be found on a band box-set and on YouTube."

I was too young to catch the Who live in their prime with John Entwistle and Keith Moon. That would have been something. I never saw them live period.

I have seen ZZ Top live. They were quite good.

I saw the Stones ‘95 Voodoo Lounge tour. Blind Melon opened. The Stones were quite good live.
