So i bought a pair of trainers (sneakers for you Muhricans
) online. It was a pair that has been out of stock in most paces for a while but I found a website that sold them.
Turns out that my usual bullshit detector was malfunctioning that day, because the fact that I did not get a confirmation email sent alarm bells ringing. It turned out it was either a scam site or a Chinese site.
Since I had already paid by card I had to wait to see what happened before I spoke to my credit card provider to cancel it (I have fraud protection).
The next day I got a confirmation email, although the shipping time was states as 14 days. I gathered that it was indeed a Chinese site hosted in the UK.
Ten days later.... my shoes actually turned up...HURRAY!. So full of anticipation I opened the box...
they sent the wrong funcing shoes!
They were the right size and weren't horrible looking, just not the ones I wanted. I immediately emailed them to send me the correct shoes, while I would return the shoes. Awaiting further response, I finally got one 5 days later...asking me to send pictures of the correct shoes and the ones I received... huh?
I complied and sent them pictures I got off of their own website and awaited further response. Nothing.....
I sent the same email again....nothing...until yesterday. Wait until you read this!
"Thank you for your pictures. We understand how disappointing it can be when your expectations are not met. We can really sense your feeling about waiting with patience but turning out disappointment.
As this question, may due to some unforseen circumstances during delivery, but we still feel sorry for it, to show our goodwill, we would like to offer you a 10% discount on your next order with us. And such problem not happen next time"
WTF? I felt like going on an OGG rant here. Eventually I just sent them an urgent reply stating that I wish them to send me a correct pair.
The waiting starts again. I am starting to think I should just keep the current ones and wear them.
