Hot or Not? Emerson 4-way prewired kit for tele

Yeah -- I know I could pick up all these fiddly bits for probably less than half the price of the assembly, but I don't have a good workspace for dealing with small electronic parts, and it seems to me that simply dropping this in and soldering the pickup leads to the pots would be a fantastically easy way to upgrade my 09 MIM (it's already got upgraded pickups). Since I got my Kirn Barnbuster, I've been dreaming of putting a 4-way on the MIM, because that bridge-and-neck-in-series option is more than useful -- it brings a tele right into HB territory.
 
I've used mojotone prewired harnesses for a couple of guitars. I'm sure I paid more than I could have if I did it myself, but it was all done neatly and correctly from mojotone, and it saved me a lot of time on the build with things I don't really find all that fun. If I ever build another guitar I am just going to go with a premade harness.
 
I used premade harnesses too. Sure they are more expensive than doing it yourself, but isn't anything? If you don't feel like wiring it up and have the cash, why not?
 
Just bought one - probably be a couple of weeks before I install it. I'll also install the Electrosocket jack cup at the same time. I'm considering replacing the bridge with a Wilkinson or the Fender vintage bridge as well...

I understand that they come with fairly comprehensive instructions -- hopefully I won't screw it up! Changing pickups on teles and strats is about as crafty as I've been to this point.
 
The Emerson pots are really terrific. I tried a couple of the prototypes years ago and thought the sweep was a bit to subtle but about a year ago we tried another set and they were perfect. Every Kauer/titan has had them since.
 
Thanks. I'm hoping I'll love it. I've bought and sold a lot of instruments over the years -- but it's stayed because it just plain feels and plays "good" (forgive the grammar). I bought it on a $299 GC whim and it's now my oldest and probably my cheapest electric.

I have no problem with them on my Titan and I use Alpha pots on my other guitars. They work great!
