DJ'ed an 80's Flashback Prom last night.

Suffice to say a pro of my nature has stepped up to the plate and explained why quality is seldom cheap and cheap seldom is quality. We'll see how that one goes.

Excellent.

Met with a Bride and Groom last week that I've known him for years travelling in radio circles. He's been an on-air personality for a morning show, programming director at another.... well our meeting went really well and they said some things like "we're glad to have a pro like you handling this for us". I'm excited at some of the people who are going to be there from regional radio and TV and it should lead to some nice gigs.

Sweet.

The girl from the all day gig is going to phone me today or over the weekend to have a chat and I'm sure if she actually does, the gig is mine unless I say something stupid.

Booked another one for a friend of my gf's. Bit less than I'd usually take but not much and it's an easy enough set up plus it gives me a chance to explore my new toys more.

I'm picking up the new speakers and lights tonight. I got a message from a guy I spoke to about selling jelly domes awhile ago. He's now getting rid of his again. They're in a padded Arriba bag, come already linked up with a DMX controller that's included and they're G clamped and ready to rock. Best part is, it's £5 cheaper than just the 2 domes I was buying off the other guy and it means I don't have to deal with him as he's a complete and utter prick.

Oh yeah I've also been asked to contribute to a feature the Scottish Wedding Directory are doing on aisle music. I hit them up a while ago (being that I've had articles published for the General Teaching Council of Scotland :embarrassed: ) to see if we could do something together (aka promote me in the mag without actually taking out an ad)

I just ordered a Goal Post Truss... :embarrassed:
