Did we ever decide the next recordingfest?

I have to start early so I have already picked a song and started to learn it regardless of the theme. End of January sounds fine. Holidays do get busy for most. I for one would like to do these more often but this one is probably best to wait.

It was just a suggestion.....we never actually landed on a theme or a date. The problem with the Christmas one is that between now and the end of December tend to be pretty jam packed for many people.

Not sure of a theme - but maybe a late January reveal. I'd like to go sooner I'm just not sure with the holidays coming up if that would work.

Possible theme suggestions...

Blues
A song(s) from the 2000's (2001 - 2010)
Metal
Rolling Stones
1959 or older tune
Felt coverfest
 
One of Prages's old themes on HC was "Bands we love to hate". I always wished that would come back around.

I remember it well. I did an early 90s Aerosmith song (Cryin') a White Stripes song (7 Nation Army) and a Nickelback song (Animals...acoustic and countrified). :embarrassed:
 
It was the theme that made me take notice and subsequently inspired me to get off my ass and record something.

I broke out my Playstation singstar mics and recorded the very next month :embarrassed:
 
well, I did a Christmas tune already.

I dig the "hate" idea, could be really fun.
 
Of course with the Shoegaze thing was also Alt rock thrown in originally. I would love to do a Pearl jam or TOTD song.
