Dean Gordon Mirus "TriBeCa"

It’s an attractive object, but it looks more like a piece of furniture than a guitar. And from a practical standpoint I’d really rather have a big lower horn than that big upper bout pressed against my rib cage.

Big lower horn.

Not my thing at all, but pretty cool for what it is. I like that so many builders are building "non-traditional" styled guitars lately. I mostly prefer the more traditional styles for myself, but it's pretty cool to see new ideas out there. One day, someone will make one that makes my lower horn feel all tingly.

While I respect builders who are innovative, there are several such examples in which a seemingly-foreign object is necessitated by ergonomics. In this case, that awful piece of metal in place of the lower horn. I would suggest that, if something like that is necessary, maybe that particular design should be re-imagined, but then that's just me.
