My guitars are non-traditional in most of their construction. The sides are completely rounded over on the outside and the inside is completely concave/parabolic and smooth. This is accomplished mechanically using a string of math equations and table saw techniques. The sides are made up of over 80 segments that are pie shaped like keystones in Roman arches.* As these keystones are bonded together they form the radiuses of a traditional shaped guitar. The inside surface is laminated with carbon fiber and the result is a very rigid, stable and strong structure that is also lightweight. When you add compound curves to a structure the result is a tremendous increase in structural strength – think of an egg. My guitars do not depend on the top and back plates to counteract the 150 lbs of tension created by the strings. This means that the top and back are less stressed and therefore freer to vibrate. And let’s not forget that carbon fiber is known to have better resonating qualities then wood and has been used in high-end instruments for some time.

I hate the checkerboard and Z style F holes. I'd probably give the guitar a go, but at least in general terms, I kind of prefer the lower part to be reasonably flat to rest securely on my leg. Rounding there seems to make little sense. The upper bouts rounded are nice, but the bottom doesn't seem good to me.
 
What do you think of his construction technique? That's what fascinates me about them. I'd love to try one out for 40 years or so.

Seems like a mash-up of different styles. Looks like a huge pillow from an old Tim Burton movie.

It's got potential to be cool/oddball but no.
 
I have no problem with carbn fiber construction, or wood laminated carbon fiber. Parker has done this for years, as has a number of acoustic makers. Heck, my best sounding guitar is my steinberger, made from carbon fiber, epoxy, and other synthetic stuff. It even has EMGs. :messedup:
 
I dig the little keystone thingies. It's like a giant, functional 3D jigsaw puzzle that somebody else put together and I didn't have to.

I was wondering when one of Pete's guitars would make it to this site... Yea, his guitars are over the top, and I am too used to skin-heads having lightning bolt tatoos, but I know that is not the intention... Expensive as all hell, but he keeps getting orders, probably because they really are one of a kind, so all power to him... Anyways, Pete is my half-brother's first cousin, so you could say he is my step-cousin...

:) Well, if I ever get back to NE Canada to visit my brother, I will at least get a chance to meet Pete and try one of these... Phil X certainly made it sound good and there are some other demos on the Dagmar FB page...
