I'm surprised there isn't a thread about this...

For those who haven't been following it and live under a rock, Team USA plays Argentina tonight in the semi-final round. Yeah, we made it to the final four!

The bad news is, in all likelihood they will get trounced by the Argentina squad, those churrascos are tough. But who knows. Hopefully it will at least be a good match. :)

I think this is some sort of side picking thing for WWIII. We have to fight Argentina as we are UK allies, and the whole Falklands thing.

We've made it tougher on ourselves by having three of our starters (Jermaine Jones, Bobby Wood, and Alejandro Bedoya) unavailable for this game (Wood and Bedoya for yellow-card accumulation, Jones for a straight red in the quarterfinal match vs Ecuador). Of course, not having Bedoya might work for us, because he sucks..

Yup. That isn't going to help.

Really, aside from the debacle that was our opening game against Columbia, this is the best the USMNT has played since Klinsmann has taken over the team. He finally quit playing mad scientist with the line-up and seems to have every one in their best spot. And we had a few very lucky breaks fall our way, which is not normally the case. The way the offense has been playing we may be able to hang with Argentina for awhile. But they are so talented, and they have Messi.

Who's left? I think the final is on Sunday when I'm in Jamaica (who I assume wont be playing )

Cool. Ive seen next to none of the euros so hopefully be able to catch some of the knockout games and the cops final.

I'll be rooting for the USMNT but I'm not expecting much. Argentina is very good and Messi is the greatest to ever play the game.
