ok... so this is sloppy has hell. i'm running it through my Line 6 SV. The clip is really sloppy(partly due to the fact that i'm still getting used to 11's). I think the Chopper T in the bridge sounds great!!!

except for the delay overdose. :tongue:


How's the neck on yours? Mine has a wider, larger C-shaped neck contour that kinda surprised me, but I really like it now. My only beef with it is the neck finish is pretty thick. I'm thinking I might try out that 3M green pad trick that will lightly scour off some of the finish.

Let me know how that goes, cause i agree. The neck its kinda "Sticky", my only complaint really.

Yeah... The neck does have that c shape and is a bit thicker than I'm used to. Maybe another reason why I'm a bit sloppier with it. The frets are pretty large too.

I was thinking about the finish on the back of the neck too.. I might take some light sand paper to it. would I have to treat the neck afterwards?

I've just been kinda hesitant to do it. Kinda dumb really, because a $100 guitar is the one to try it out on, but I really do love that guitar. My coverfest song was done with it, bone stock.

The thick neck fits my hands better than I ever thought it would. It's more like the acoustic necks I grew up playing, but even all of my basses and electrics had the thinner necks, more Wizard-like, which I've actually found more fatiguing to playing. Someday I'd really like to try one of the LP fat necks.

Supposedly using that 3M stuff will just barely mar the neck enough that some of the thick lacquer comes off and feels a bit ground down.... not enough to actually remove the neck finish or change the profile. That finish is pretty damn thick.

It's not really Alabama Tooth Yellow... it's vintage white and it just picked up all the reflections and low light from my old studio. :tongue:

Actually mines the powder blue one, i guess we all fail at pic taking. hahaha.

Usually the blue shows up as a sickly color, and its really pretty in real life. I dont know how to take it right.

I liked that too, but I never understood why it had the black guard. Powder blue + mint = :love:
 
so i just played one of my lps and it sounded so rich and thick!!!

then i went back to the tele... it sounded a bit thinner... this would have driven me nuts before, but it wasn't too bad. i guess that's the point of having different kinds of guitars

Think about it this way, especially with all of the recording you do-

Humbuckers take up a lot more of your recording space than a single coil will. If you layer your single coil and humbucker sounds you can get something much richer and fuller than one or the other alone.
