Chicago Music Exchange

Hnaging out in a motel, in Skokie. Wife is mad, I told her last night that I can see a DSW from our window.

Don't forget Make'n Music, too.

They have tons of high-end gear, if you want to drool :)

Just make sure you reserve about 2 hours for CME. It is quite easy to kill that amount of time, especially if it's early in the day and not a lot of traffic in the store, as there are four private rooms that each have a selection of amps from cheep to booteek for you to plug into .

My favorite guitar store in Illinois by FAR.

Bring your credit card.

And get some lunch at the New England Seafood Co. across the street.

No large purchases though, there was a Ric bass that was hard to walk away from. Son bought a book, paid cash.

Kumas was really good. Son had the Kuma burger, I had the Neurosis burger. I got the homemade chips, they didn't do anything for me. Loved the cherry cola, and tried son's cream soda. I'm now on a quest to find more Sprecher soda. Looks like I can buy it direct but, shipping is almost as much as the soda.

Believe it or not.

Went to EIU yesterday for family fun day, to visit older son. Nobody was interested in the fun family activities. We basically visited, and helped him run errands. One of the companies he applied to for a summer internship was Rural King. They have a store in Charles and, he wanted to check it out. I found my soda there and, bought massive amounts.
