In light of this mornings snipefest (which started a while ago, btw) I just have a few things to say.
1. This is a forum where I want people to want to share their experiences playing, learning and enjoying music. Shitting on a thread where someone is doing that is not acceptable.
2. HC rivalries and shit behavior can stay at HC. I've now completely lost my tolerance for any of it here. I was hoping that folks would come to a "neutral place" in those relationships here on their own but apparently that is not going to happen in spite of nearly 3 years worth of policy to that effect.
3. With the Webcasts gaining attention and the on-topic posting up I have been hoping to get more "professionals" to participate here. 90% of the posting here is off topic fun (which I enjoy and am very guilty of) but if it's the kind of crap that we've had this morning I'm sure that will cause these opportunities to go out the window. People always talk about TGP having so many "industry pros" in terms of luthiers and builders and players contributing and my studio has the potential to start gaining that addition to our membership. Thats not going to happen if I allow pissing matches to flourish here.
I just want this to be a fun place to hang out in and an educational place if you want to learn about music or to share your experiences.
