Not me. But I would very much like to watch Mosely to have 2 good rounds then get pummeled for 10.
 
I''l be watching..I expect Mosley to cause Pacman a few problems..he's a terrific fighter..before getting KTFO late.
 
I have nothing to add beyond pointing out the rather delicious irony of a man who's intimately familiar with ailments of the brain being a fan of a sport in which they're pretty much de rigueur.

Not that there's anything wrong with that, mind you.

I can appreciate that, but you have to ask yourself where guys like Pacquiao, Ali, etc., would be today if they'd never set foot in a boxing gym.

True. And that's why a lot of them end up hitting the skids after they've hit the big time.

I personally know a guy who made and lost several million quid in boxing because he wasn't savvy enough to keep a hold of his money, keep out of trouble and keep the leeches away from him.

I won't be up for the fight and will avoid this one like the plague until I get to youtube it but I can't see anything but a pacman victory albeit it a hard thought one. Sugar is still a really crafty fighter and I like him a lot.
 
Mosley seems like a really genuinely nice guy, and it's hard to root against him; that's a 180 from Margarito.

But Pac has more great fights left in him. A 3rd fight with Marquez for the fall looks likely if he wins this one.

The other title fight on the undercard - Wilfredo Vazquez Jr. vs Jorge Arce - could easily be a great action fight.

Kelly Pavlik is making his return to the ring after losing the middleweight title to Sergio Martinez and going through rehab for alcoholism, so it'll be interesting to see how well he performs.

I haven't seen either of the fighters in the 4th bout, but both have excellent records - combined win percentage of 98% and a combined KO percentage of 78%.

Mayweather hasn't fought in over a year, and only twice since '07. If he develops a little rust, and those reflexes diminish... well, I guess we'll see whether the guy can take a hit. Otherwise, it might be a repeat of something like the second RJJ vs. Tarver fight. :shrug:

I do think he's waiting and waiting until he thinks Manny has gone that 1 fight too long.

Nice to see big Davey Haye giving Vlad a bit of grief today :grin:
 
I want to see Haye get KTFO so badly. Guy has no right to call anyone else a cherry-picker when his heavyweight resume consists of Monte Barrett, Valuev, John Ruiz, and Audley Harrison. Those last two fights, especially, couldn't have featured more pathetic opponents. He has zero legacy as a heavyweight, and he's done nothing but talk shit while ducking the Klitschkos on two different occasions. I'll admit that the Klitschkos aren't the most exciting fighters out there, but both are class acts, and both have been utterly dominant for most of the past decade; it's not their fault that they've pretty much cleaned out a weak division, nor can they be blamed for not wanting to fight each other. :shrug:

The thing is, as you pointed out, who else is out there for Haye to fight except for the Klitschos? It's not really his fault there's no good opposition out there for him.

FWIW I thought he did a tremendous job against Valuev, OK the guy is a chump but a huge chump with tree trunks for arms, being the better fighter doesn't necesarilly mean you can beat a guy that size.

He also picked up a couple of big scalps as a cruiserweight. Hell he almost single handedly ended Macaranelli's fighting career and Mac was a great prospect until that beating.

Yeah, I agree that the Klitschkos are the only fights that make sense for Haye. But he hasn't proved himself as a heavyweight champion, and he hasn't earned the right to talk as much shit as he has, when he's guilty of virtually all of the same shit, and more besides.

Valuev was a win, but it was hardly sensational - a majority decision, and not a wide one. Not an exciting fight, which is relevant given Haye's criticisms of Wlad and Vitali. Also seems to be the best indicator of what Haye's game plan against either of the Klitschko's might look like, which might be a big miscalculation, given Wlad's hand speed and Vitali's durability. Also consider that most experts feel that fucking Evander Holyfield beat Valuev in Valuev's previous fight, but was robbed.

Haye was a good cruiserweight, I'll give him that... but it's not like he's a future 1st (or even 2nd) ballot HOFer at this point in his career. And both Klitschkos, like them or not, absolutely are.
