Are you planning on watching much of the Olympics??

I know Mrs D and #1 daughter will probably watch a bunch of stuff most every evening for the next couple of weeks. Me? Not so much. I'm not even planning on watching the opening ceremonies tonight.
 
Probably be watching the cycling, as we have a medal candidate there in Edvald Hagen, and women's handball (we have what's the best team there for the last decade or so). A few games of the football as well, outside of that not much. I generally find the winter olympics a whole lot more interesting. :embarrassed:

We'll watch quite a bit of it. This is the only time most of us get to watch several lower profile sports competitions (no, not synchronized silliness).
Stuff like archery, kayaking, real wrestling, B-B-Beach volleyball, etc.

I can't imagine any sports fan not watching some of the events, unless they have been brainwashed to accept only the big 3 and/or NASCAR. :facepalm:

There isn't one sport I care to watch. My wife loves that I'm not a sports fan. :grin:

Probably not much, if any. I do enjoy seeing uncommon sporting events -- fencing, archery, badminton, dressage -- but I imagine most of the coverage is going to be the usual stuff.

Just checked - she did not make the Olympics. But she is only 19 - young enough to make the 2016 games.

You guys are a bunch of duds. I love the Olympics. Will probably DVR the women's soccer team so I can watch with my daughter and some of the various men's games. I wont watch a ton of track and field and will endure the gymnastics because my wife likes it but will watch pretty much everything else. I dont care one way or another about opening and closing ceremonies but I love watching the games. So many great stories and great people from all over the world.

i'm interested in see what Phelps is going to pull off. he's not gonna try to break his 8 medal record. but i'd like to see him break a few record times and get a few more golds. he's a human fish.....but he's never gonna have the panache that Mark the Shark had.
