It's about a year old. I knocked the dust out of the air filter, changed the spark plug, sprayed carb cleaner down it's throat and put fuel treatment in the gas. It acts like it wants to start but immediately dies sometimes with a small backfire. My next step is kick it and/or set it on fire. Any better suggestions?

Changed it. Wondering if I should take it off and turn it around. I didn't notice when I took it off and it doesn't have arrows. Maybe the manual shows which way it should go. Also thinking about draining fuel and trying some fresh fuel. I can't remember if I put Sta-Bil in it or not.

There's your problem. New fuel should do the trick if it will run on ether.

Still waiting for frustration to pass. lol. I'll drain the fuel in a bit. I hate draining the shit as expensive as it is. I suppose if I drained the fuel on the grass I could kill two birds with one stone. I've been considering the baseball bat approach.

I bet you have water in the gas.

Drain it and put new gas in it.

Spray some starting fluid down the carb.

I bet it starts.....

Well I went out to drain the gas but I had left the ignition on so the battery is dead. I put the battery charger on it but didn't think it would be safe to drain fuel while battery charger is attached or that's what I'm telling myself so I could come inside and play my bass. Foxy Lady

Foo- not ASE certified.

Battery charged. Old fuel drained. Dark outside. Hope for luck tomorrow. Time to watch the World Series.
