He has become one of my absolute favorite players of all time. Amazing tone with fantastic feeling technique. The guy can match chops with people like Steve Vai and Satch but he was also the band leader for Olivia Newton John.

He also put out an instructional video recently and you can find clips on YouTube. So good

The Resolution album is one of the few instrumental rock guitar albums that I enjoy listening to.

I saw him live with Uli John Roth and Jennifer Batten a month or so ago at a very small club. Stood about 10 feet away while he did his thing. Wonderful player! Amazing chops and tone, cool tunes, and very personable and humorous with the audience.
 
And he gets that sound from an Ibanez! Of course what am I saying, Eric Johnson sounded like himself playing one of Zakk Wylde's monstrosities.
