Rich and Taylor Roy Rogers Dale Evans Tribute Museum Display guitar w/signatures

In the mid 90's Greg Rich and Mark Taylor teamed up to make some incredible " King of the Cowboys " Roy Rogers Tribute art guitars. This is a one of a kind Roy Rogers / Dale Evans designed guitar that was on display at their museum in Victorville , Ca. It is hand signed on the top by Roy Rogers , Dale Evans and their son Roy "Dusty" Rogers and is the only one that I know of that has all three signatures together. The label is signed by Greg Rich , Roy Rogers and Mark Taylor and was never installed inside the guitar. Amazing inlay work containing abalone , mother of pearl , silver , copper , brass etc. Multiple gold sparkle binding , metallic creamy white finish with a red , white and blue back , Double R ranch with wagon wheels on the bridge , along with a hand painted image of Roy , Dale and Trigger really sets it off for a most impressive one of a kind build. The guitar is mint and shows no signs of being played but it does have laquer checks throughout the finish which is very common on these guitars. Signed paperwork and the original snakeskin style case. Get your glass case ready !

I really like the color, but I'm not into acoustics and all that graffiti is a bit too much for my taste.

That inlay work is really impressive. I always thought putting all that clamshell on a guitar was over the top, but maybe it's alright if it's singing cowboys and not, like, peacocks or koi or whatever.

I think I’m gonna hold for a guitar that pays tribute to one of the cooler Rogerses. Will or Fred, I guess. I like Steve, but his guitar would be fucking hideous.

I would buy it for the headstock, "didn't know Dale used a strap-on" but, the bridge is a deal killer for me.

My brothers are 76, 75, 74 years old and I’m 59. I remember when I was 4 or 5 having hand me down things with Roy Rogers on them. I feel that’s who this guitar would appeal to and the big money cash out has passed. $35,000?

No interest in playing it but it's interesting both on the skill required to make it and from a history perspective. Definitely a display piece for someone, somewhere.

Greg Rich is a real character. He used to post a lot on Banjo Hangout. He has done work for Gibson, Blueridge, Recording King, and other brands and is known for his flasy inlays and his flashy clothes. He was also good at ruffling people's feathers, so he added to the moderator's job, but you kinda had to like him.

This outfit is calm compared to some of the pictures he used to post. I think he and David Lindley would fight over clothes at the thrift store...
