Jackson Roswell Rhoads 1997 Aluminum

This piece was purchased in 1997, Anchorage Alaska at Mammoth Music at 500 E 5th Ave. My brother and I were really interested in guitars and learning when we were teens. I was 16 at the time. My father saw the guitar at Mammoth where we attended lessons and had to buy it. Despite the price tag (if my memory serves me correct, almost $3000 USD). He purchased it solely on its rarity and uniqueness. At the time, he believed it would become extremely valuable like a Gibson Les Paul Standard from 1960.

Well, the point is, it has never been played, ever. My brother and I were interested in our own guitars. Honestly, I thought it was ugly as all hell when my father showed it to me. I was playing a Fender Strat 50th custom at the time, and had some black neck thru Jackson shredder guitar that I think I saw Kirk Hammett playing.

It has lived in the case the whole time. It is fully functional and there is not a scratch on it. The case has a little bit of wear on it from storage and being moved around from a few different states.

As stated in my shop, I only sell mint condition gear. I only buy mint condition gear, especially collectables or synths. I am a music production nerd now, play guitar seldomly and I am interested in outboard processing, compressors, synths, drum machines, computers, software, etc.

The sale of this guitar will go to fund some other toy I have in mind. Modular synth, not sure. That is why it is being sold.

I will be updating this post later tomorrow. I wanted to get it up and motivate myself to take some good photos of it after work. For now, I just have stock photos. I only have one feedback on Reverb, but the transaction was very personable and smooth. I am willing to talk on the phone, video chat, text, make videos, or anything else that makes you comfortable with the purchase. The only reason why I do not offer returns is because the condition of a high priced item cannot be known once it has been shipped and handled elsewhere.

Feel free to message me any time, ask for my phone number and let me know what you're thinking, if you're interested in this purchase. I will accept offers, but please do not attempt to low ball the listing price. It will sit fairly firm in the ballpark of that cost. I would rather NOT use PayPal as a form of payment. To be honest, I have not sold an item for a good year. I am not sure if there is another standard, but the literal rape of PayPal is very aversive.

Good luck.

PS - I have not shipped a guitar in a long time. 80 dollars would be to pack and insure the item at the closing cost. If the rate I charge for shipping is too high, I will refund the remainder of the cost.

Chad is a single pickup gear slut. Water is wet. News at 11.

I've actually had a long history with single PU guitars. I recently gave my SG melody maker to my cousin's wife, but I still have my Musicmaster and Godin Acousticaster (one-pickup if you don't count the UST).

I kinda like it. Needs a nickel cover for the HB though. And someone made a typo obviously, no way that is a 9K guitar, but at $900 I'd actually consider it for slide.
