As much as I love maple boards on a lot of guitars, LPs with maple boards look terrible to me. Give me that with an ebony board and about 1/4 the price, and I'd think about it.
 
Too monochromatic for my $4165.
A Custom should at least look desirable. Stain the top or sumthin'. I don't mind the maple fretboard.
 
Like it, but if I wanted a maple board Gibby LP, I'd settle for a Raw Power used for around $7-800 :embarrassed:
 
I like it but like others stated, not for that price.

I jammed with a guy back in the mid-'80s that had a Les Paul like that, maple top and maple neck/fretboard, but it had the black block inlays. It was a pretty decent guitar. I think I like the abalone inlays much better than the black inlays.
