Everyones cool. He's here most days poking around it seems....I'm beginning to think that what everyone needed was a break from that environment more than anything else....idn_smilie

Indeed. The whole thing of me bein' a troll was a myth. I had the hardest time getting on in an environment that was a labor of love for me. I had a lot of effort invested there and a ton of good internet friends, some of who have become real life friends. I loved the place and enjoyed helping out. I have petitioned relentlesly to deaf ears, but they won't have me back. So many members who deserved permanent bannings have been allowed to return over and over again. Scott Lehman understood and would have never let such things happen. The new admin and ownership are absolutely horrible. They solved the crime by removing the victim.

I could have returned under a new moniker and remained low key and likely could remain an active participant today but I just don't want to be where I'm not welcome.

Sorry if I sound all whiny but what went down with me was a shame. It was so unfair. :(

Well, ultimately I think everyone who comes here is treating it like a fresh new start and things are going well. We have several active members who didn't get along over there but seem to have no problems over here, even if it means just not participating in certain threads. That's fine with me.

I have made a point of welcoming everyone and making it known that none of the old bullshit will happen here or I'll just ban people immediately. This forum not only is something that I consider entertainment for me and my online friends but it also represents my real life business (which pays the bills) and I won't let anything resembling the HC "troubles" happen here.

If you notice, some notable GJ personalities have refrained from registering here even though I am friendly with them over there and that's fine...possibly they just feel like GJ is enough forum for wasting time at work or possibly they aren't comfortable with the mix of personalities here or whatever...not that big of a deal....

Well, be assured you always have my support. I'd like to think of myself as a retired cop hanging out at the new precinct. I've been through it all and from both sides of the fence. :)

I think things are pretty cool here...the one thing that I think will keep things on an even keel will be that ultimately I'm going to have to be "mod-less" since I think part of the problem at the other places are how things go down and are perceived. I figure if anyone is going to get butt hurt about anything I can be the bad guy since its ultimately my responsibility.

You've got a good head on you, unlike some other administrators. Ultimately the board reflects the efforts of the administrator(s).
