eek2 The displacement of my Z06 (7L) would fit in one cylinder of that beast. Give a whole new meaning to "no replacement for displacement".

not trying to sidetrack this thread....but have you ever been in the presence of the King of hot rod engines?
The Rolls Royce (or Packhard) Merlin V-12, P-51 Mustang engine?
the post war air racing versions are 1650 cubic inches and 3800 Hp......and the'll do nearly 500 mph.

talk about wonderful sound.......wow.
 
Hasn't started for a hundred years? Yep, that's a Fiat!

But all kidding aside, that video is incredible, and that engine is truly a beast.
 
That thing is amazing! As much modernly maligned as Fiat has been, it and other Italian marques, have a distinguished heritage in the development of the automobile. Really cool vid. That old motor was literally belching fire!
