Several sound nothing remotely like SRV, they just play the same genre and have mutual influences.
 
Agree with all remarks above. KWS and Chris Duarte are very heavily influenced by SRV... but LANG? Eric Johnson?

KWS started playing the blues at age 7 after meeting SRV. He was on stage at 13 knocking people out. Bonamasa started playing very young as well. Kinda hard to call either of them a wanna-be since they've stuck to what they started with. John Mayer is a fraud. Eric Sardinas has his own thing going with a radical slide blues deal. Hard to call that a wanna-be as well. Henry Garza isn't a a wanna be either. He was born into music and his band is a family thing, all of them extremely gifted. These people have a certain walk and talk about them that's very natural to them. The one of all listed that sticks out of place is John Mayer. He' s pretending, fake, a wanna-be.
 
Musical idiots. Eric Sardinas is a blues legend in his own right, and plays nothing like SRV (or Slash, who they also mentioned). Fucking musical retards. Can't believe this list. Yet another article about guitarists written by people who obviously don't play guitar.

I don't know all of those guitarists but saying Healey, Johnson, Mayer or McCready took from SRV seems to me to be whacked the F out.

Popovic can steal pretty much anything that she wants and call it her own IMO.
 
What's wrong with you people? How can you listen to Eric Johnson and not think "that's SRV", or even "that's Albert King". :lol:
