Sauber is already running Ferrari engines.

Sad to see Kimi suffer a mechanical DNF in his final F1 race. He really showed the F1 world that he's still The Iceman this year. I'll especially miss his radio quips and paddock shenanigans.

Also really going to miss Fernando Alonso. In my opinion, the best F1 driver of the era.

That Hulkenberg crash was absolutely INSANE! He's damn lucky to walk away from that one. Looks like another strong case for the HALO requirements.

So we wait for 2019 and a big driver shake up now. At least that part will be interesting for a while.

Kimi will be back with Sauber for 2 more years.

All the driver lineups are set for next year, but it will be interesting to see how Leclerc will stack up against Vettel. I suspect Vettel will be soundly beaten by Leclerc.

I suspect Ferrari will not allow Leclerc to soundly beat Vettel. Much like they didn't allow Kimi to do it.
 
After all the mistakes that Vettel made, I don't think he will have the #1 status he has enjoyed with Kimi as his teammate. I suspect that Ferrari see Leclerc as the future and if he is as good as he seems they will make him #1.
 
I hope Ferrari are smart enough to go with whichever driver is faster and does better. I think there's a good chance that will be Leclerc. The kid is quick and smart.

Kimi should do OK at Sauber. They had good pace this year.
 
Vettel is a 4 time champion who finished second in the points this year. He probably has a #1 contract. Ferrari will kiss his ass, UNLESS... if Leclerc qualifies way ahead of Vettel consistently and runs well ahead of Vettel, and finishes higher than Vettel then maybe they will treat him as a #1. If they do, Vettel will not drive for Ferrari in 2020.
