I see no reason for the long fingerboard extension that pushes the neck pickup closer to the bridge.

I'm surprised by the positive responses here. I give that thing a great big "ICK"! I'm not much of a Taylor acoustic fan and this attempt at a hollow electric seems very clumsy to me.
