1969 Gibson Les Paul Custom

I´m not really attracted to Les Pauls in general, but this is just fantastic.

This 1969 Les Paul Custom was played for two days after its original purchase, then placed back in its case only to be stored there for the next 43 years. For it's era this is the absolute cleanest vintage Les Paul Custon we've ever seen.
Summary
Body: Three-piece maple cap on mahogany back
Neck: Three-piece mahogany neck with 1 11/16" wide nut and bound ebony fretboard with pearloid block inlays, no volute, "Made in USA" on the back of the headstock
Pickups/Hardware: Two humbuckers with patent numbers (both rate at 7.3kOhms), three-way pickup selector switch, independent tone and volume controls with 1969 potentiometers, and waffle-back tuners
Cosmetic Condition: The body hardly has a ding or scratch on it, it's remarkably clean. The neck is still glossy and virtually spotless. The headstock looks like new. This has to be the cleanest Custom of this era we've ever seen!

I'm sure you're right. I just knew it was sometime in 69. Price still seems a little out of control to me.

you'd know as soon as you played one.

One of the other teachers where I used to work had a student who spent ridiculous money on a really beat to '69 LP and it was almost an actual fretless. One of the worst sounding LP's I've ever played but I woulnd't doubt it had replacement pickups to be moar metulz.

I have the ObG John Sykes version of that, all aged nickel hardware, jumbo stainless frets £600, Marshallhead pickups, 9lb 1oz, best LP that I 've ever owned and I've owned, an R4, R7 and R8....go figure. A 69 in that condition is most probably quite a bargain. Norlin guitars didn't suck too much til about 70/71 with the advent of the pancake body
