Isaac, that is absolutely stunning! It's like looking at the finish through rippling water!

The wood on that top is Waterfall Bubinga with a bit of spalting going on. It came from a 2"thick 16ft long slab. There was a portion of the slab that had uneven coloring so I cut it off, thinking I would probably have to trash it. Since I had the saw going I bookmatched it. That was what was inside. Needless to say it was a keeper. The rest of the slab still has the rippling water quality but lacks the dark spalting coloration. Pieces like that are very difficult to find as it usually gets cut thin at the mills and used for furniture veneers and they like everything pretty even without the color variations.

I'm not usually a fan of super quilty or flamey woods but this one is pretty incredible.
 
Now, those single cuts, I like. Too flamey for my taste, but the shape is good and I like the German carve on the top. Much better than the sg thingy.
 
I just can't get into the design. Give me a custom made guitar with those specs though and I would be blown away if it were something in a design I liked.

I saw a set of DW drums with a Waterfall Bubinga outer ply. I still think they were the most beautiful drums I have ever seen.

I actually don't mind the look of it, it's the functionality of it that bothers me.

That G-string at the very least needs a small guidepost or something on the headstock, so it doesn't touch the tuning post of the b-string, imo.
