I think it is the red/white contrast that ruins it for me.

Paisley always makes me think of the 60's. My favorite outfit was a paisley shirt with white collar, a clashing paisley tie, and my grey and black striped Levi bell bottoms.

Paisley is ok, especially on a tele, but not this paisley. But for 60's themed guitars, I prefer this look, as displayed on this guitar owned by a friend of mine on another forum, from Sweden. Here is his:
