The Simon & Patrick Woodland Pro series guitars are built with the same attention to craftsmanship and tone as the high-end Showcase series but with slightly more understated elegance. The new S&P "Pro" models are constructed from ALL SOLID WOODS including select "pressure tested" tops for maximum performance and strength to weight ratios. The thin, custom polished finish also allows for much better tonal response than many comparably priced instruments with their "thick, nonporous and plasticky polyester finishes". This particular instrument is a Mini Jumbo with Solid Spruce top and Solid Mahogany back, sides and neck. B-BAND A3T electronics included (with built-in tuner) and a TRIC DELUXE hardshell case is also included.

I like how they take the pictures in such a way you don't see how awful the monstrosity of the electronics looks from the front. At least it doesn't have a cutaway.

I don't hate it, but it doesn't excite me.
 
Looks like a lot of guitar for the money... The BBand electronics are unknown to me though. Would rather see an LR Baggs unit there or maybe Fishman.
 
1. I love the mini-Jumbo size - my favorite acoustic size.
2. The B-Band is a very, very good acoustic pickup system.
3. S&P makes some good guitars.
4. I like the aesthetics.

I'd have to play one since I am very picky about my acoustics (much more so than electrics), but that is a guitar I would consider buying if it felt right when I played it.
 
I might be interested - as long as the installed electronics don't adversely affect the guitars acoustic properties. Simon and Patrick guitars, are nice guitars for the money.
 
Been looking for a decent, moderately priced acoustic electric. I might look into this one.
 
Aesthetically, it's nice. That's a good body size/shape.

Like others, I am very dubious of stock on-board pickup systems. I don't like gouging out the body for a preamp. I've also not found anything I like more than the K&K bridge plate system. Give me an outboard preamp so I can buy/sell/trade until I find one I like.

It's great! And, as far as having an on-board preamp, I don't see the problem. The sides are really a vanishingly small component in what makes the sound from a guitar, so except for the aesthetic aspect of having a preamp mounted in the side, I think it's rather pointless to view it as a major flaw.
 
Why do they feel the need to say "built with the same attention to detail and quality craftsmanship"?
Like we would look at it and go,"oh, a pro series. This must be the crap model."
Some people probably would say that, but it sounds very used car salesman to me.
"If you think you hate it now, wait til you drive it!"

It's an acoustic.I'd have to play and hear it to decide.
It looks good though.
