my main gripe here is with the control layout. they tried to do an inverse-strat, but the strat controls are laid out like that because of how your hand moves. so this layout to be different is just bad form. but it is the nicest fretlight i've seen.

Get rid of the birdseye and I would have loved it. Looks like a finely built instrument.

Aside from that I wouldn't give out that kind of scratch for a guitar that says "Fretlight" on it. Announcing to the world that I need help playing the thing.

Not for me. Never heard of the fret light system before. It sounds interesting, but for that kind of money I would want a guitar that plays itself like a player piano.

This one has significantly better specs than the last Fretlight, especially with the Loller pickups. This is one I'd be interested in trying to see whether the better wood, pickups, and construction really pay off.
