This Saturday I was in Brooklyn to catch Peter Hook and the Light. They played a solid 2.5 hours. First set 1 hour (did all of the New Order album Get Ready, which to me was not the main draw), took about a 12-15 minute break and then played 1.5 hours from the Joy Division and New Order catalog...

That is fucking beautiful. I, too, bought my kid a Daisy Rock guitar for the hot 1 or 2 yrs of lessons until piano became a bigger draw. Only ever had a gig bag for it. Love that case!

I was in a hiatus from about 2012 through 2022 at least as far as playing in a band went. Now I'm finally in a band that is playing out and having a blast. It helps that we're mostly old and beyond too much drama.

I forgot to post about seeing Kurt Vile in Brooklyn July 23. Ripping show and I was lucky to get two shots of him playing the same guitar. He changed guitars pretty much every song.

Nice. Last time I saw Cracker, which was in the 90s, they were in their "don't look up or look at the audience" mode. Would still 100% see them again.

I must say most of the hours today were real letdowns.
