Lunch: Free papa john's for me

SO each year when Pitt freshmen move in they hand out free Papa John's pizza on the quad. Naturally, given the opportunity to eat free pizza, I did. Except that Papa John's just made me want REAL pizza, so I had to go to my regular place after having a slice of it :embarrassed:

Actually, the sauce to me is very bitter. I dont like it much but I eat it when it's free. Im surprised to hear someone describe it as sweet. Odd.

I rarely have prepared sauce so most of them taste really sweet to me. I think the last time I had papa John's was probably a couple years ago at least; I was never a big fan
 
I've had Papa John's pizza several times and have not cared for it any time, though I can't tell you why. I think it is the sauce, but I'm not a fan of tomato sauce anyway.

I have worked for Papa Johns over the years, and everyone who tells me they don't like the pizza, they all tell me the sauce is too sweet.
 
Papa Johns is decent for a chain. Free pizza is always good pizza in my book - even if it's the frozen Totino's crap. But I won't pay for most chain pizza myself. I had pizza last night but ordered from Papa Murphy's.
 
Wow that's weird. It has a seriously acid off-flavor to me.

Anyway, it isnt bad enough that I wont eat it when it's free:embarrassed: And my pepperoni roll from my regular place was delicious.

On to the point of the thread, what did you Weiners have for lunch??
 
Papa John's is my fave delivery pizza.

I have enough points accumulated for a free one, prolly get one for one of the upcoming football games. :grin:
 
Over here, as far as the cheap takeaway pizza's go, it's probably the best. Certainly way better than Domino's or Pizza Hut.

Have you tried Dominos in the last year or so? At least in the States, they've reformulated their pizza and it's actually pretty damned good.
 
The Papa Johns by us does a pretty good job. We've also got a Round Table nearby, but that's a little bit more expensive.

Today, at work, we're having elk burgers. MMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
