How do you guys do it? (up so early)

I'm in the office between 8-8.30 am..so have to get up around 6.30 to make myself pretty. :embarrassed:
 
It's 11am here.

I've just had a scrummy brunch and now getting ready to head off to Munich in an hour or so :embarrassed:
 
Yep, just gone 11am here...breakfast was porridge and blueberries and lunch in about an hour will be wholewheat sandwich with mature cheddar and homemade coleslaw :love:
 
I'm in the Eastern U.S. Time zone. It is about 6 am. I just got to work, but I'm running a little later than normal. I typically go in around 5.

Yup after escaping the 40+ c heat of Doha I'm back in sunny Glasgow :facepalm:

I have actually been looking hard for jobs and applied for half a dozen or so since I got back last Wednesday but from hereon in until Monday evening I have nothing on the agenda except boozing in the world's greatest beer culture city. :)

Then it's back to reality :'(

To think if I'd hung around in Doha I'd currently be babysitting (and that's not really an exaggeration) a bunch of spoilt mega rich brats and not much else compared to just now where I'm going to grab a quick shower, meet up with my bud then spend the rest of the week in a city that looks like it came out of a Grimm fairytale drinking awesome beer by the litre steiner and munching the best sasuage, pork and beef you'll find anywhere...

We get up at 5. Mrs. P leaves for work at around 6.

I was a night owl until Mrs. P got this job about 9 years ago.

I think that last bit bout the xbox was a funny aimed to resolve the babysitting joke... but I'm too tired to be sure. lol

I'm much more of a night person than a morning person and when I was a student I'd be up to all hours. Even in Saudi sometimes i'd stay up to 4am without really thinking about it but I do try to get to bed earlier these days

Earlier meaning before midnight, I have a real stigma about hitting the sack before 11 unless I'm ill or absolutely shattered and there would need to be something seriously wrong for me to go to bed and actually sleep at 10.

The thing is, you never really achieve anything that late at night so I dont really see the point in it anymore.

..for a good 10-15 years, yes. All I really did was shift what time I went to bed and got up. A consistent sleep schedule (no matter what time you choose to go to bed and get up) is one of the best changes I've made over the years. I never get that mid-day slump anymore.

Consistent w some wiggle room ain't so bad either. Say, hitting the sack between 2 and 3:30am and getting up naturally around 10:30ish or by alarm at 11:15am? :)

lol I was being serious. Ive just rehooked mine up to xbox live.

Those wastrel kids had the money to go and race their own lamborghini's and powerboats (where is the fucking justice in that?) so didn't need consoles to unwind and have a bit of unrealistic fun.

Well in that case, been playing LOTS of Halo: Reach since it came out. Only when online w friends though. Halo games are like a Mecca for bratty, grumpy, sad assholes the world over. Tagging along w friends to keep the mood light is the only way :)
